Crutchlow tops wet final practice

Bad weather during the final British Superbikes free practice session at Oulton Park saw many riders decide to stay in the pits.

The session was topped by Honda rider Cal Crutchlow, who joined an armada or Honda and Kawasaki riders to put in a few wet laps to make sure they had a base setting.

No rider put in more than 16 laps in the rough conditions with Kawasaki man Billy McConnell taking the second fastest lap behind Crutchlow, followed by James Ellison and Leon Haslam.

Ducati riders Shane Byrne and Leon Camier as well as Karl Harris opted to stay in the garage rather than risk machinery on the difficult track.
