Brands Hatch British Superbikes: Karl Harris reaction

Karl Harris told MCN that a new set of front forks has helped him top both free practice sessions today at Brands Hatch.

The Rob Mac Racing Yamaha man set a best time of 45.993, the only rider to break the 46-second barrier today.

And the 28-year old said a new set of K-Tech forks have helped him on his way today.

“So far it’s going good,” Harris said.

“We’ve just got some new forks in from K-Tech, but we started the day with the old ones and then came in and changed them and since then it’s been mint!

“I’ve just been enjoying myself and it’s now starting to feel like my bike again.

“Silverstone was good for us, but I just need to get my confidence back.

“We’ve had a few problems here and there this season, but this weekend I’m aiming to do what I should’ve been doing all season.

“I think I can definitely go for it on Sunday, I’m either going to win it or bin it!”

Speaking of next season, Harris said: “I’d like to stay with the team next year.

“It’s a new bike so I want to stay, and hopefully, with some luck, we could challenge for the title.”

When asked about changes for tomorrow’s practice and Swan Combi 50- Roll for Pole, Harris added: “We’re not going to change too much, just a little adjustment to the front forks – at the moment it feels good so we don’t need to make too much adjustment”.
