British Superbikes: Guy Martin signs for Rob Mac Yamaha

Guy Martin will ride in Rob Mac colours in 2009 with the 26-year old parting company with Hydrex Bike Animal Honda.

Martin, who has had a troubled short circuit season partnering James Ellison in British Superbikes, is still one of the hottest rated road racers around.

With mechanical failures and crashes going against him this season at the TT and North West 200, Martin had one of his better results last weekend by beating David Jefferies’ and Geoff Duke’s International Gold Cup record with his sixth win at Oliver’s Mount.

But Martin will keep his seat in BSB as part of a prospected two-man Rob Mac team on the new big-bang Yamaha YZF-R1.
