BSB Brands Hatch: Sunday morning warm-up

1 of 1

As has been the trend for the majority of the weekend, Leon Camier and Broc Parkes were again top of the British Superbike tree at Brands Hatch as they posted the first and second fastest times in Sunday morning warm-up.

Lapping close to the times posted in yesterday’s first race, Camier showed his class once more with a time of 1m26.643s and that sent him almost four tenths of a second clear of Parkes. The duo in turn were almost a second faster than the rest of the field and it was another Australian, Karl Muggeridge, in third on the HM Plant Honda, 0.894s behind the flying Camier.

Tommy Hill placed fourth on the Worx Crescent Suzuki just ahead of James Ellison on the second Airwaves Yamaha, a quick lap late in the 15-minute session shooting the Cumbrian up the leaderboard. Just behind him was South African Sheridan Morais who showed no ill effects from his crash in yesterday’s race on the rebuilt PBM Kawasaki.

Julien Da Costa ended up seventh although he crashed out on the exit of Surtees, fortunately without injury, in the closing moments of the session and the top ten was completed by Chris Walker and the Hydrex Honda pairing of Stuart Easton and Karl Harris.
