MSVR issue Brands injury update

Several riders were involved in separate accidents over the MCE Insurance British Superbike round at Brands Hatch on Augst 7-9.

David Johnson (Superbike #68) Chris Martin (Supersport #26) and Dan Stewart (Superstock 1000 #27) all crashed in separate race incidents at Hawthorns.
David Johnson suffered a broken metatarsal.

Chris Martin remains in hospital having broken two vertebrae, two broken ribs and fractured his left ankle.

Dan Stewart sustained a fracture to his left leg just below the knee, along with two broken ribs, and will return to Furness General hospital on Wednesday to undergo surgery to pin the bone to speed recovery.

Michael Booth (Superstock 600 #8) fell at Druids and was struck by another machine. He remains in St George’s hospital and had surgery last Wednesday to realign his pelvis and spine.  He remains in good spirits and it is hoped that he will be mobilised in the coming days.
