Former Yamaha R6 Cup champion BJ Toal has joined Centurion Honda for the rest of the 2009 British Supersport season.

Toal replaces Tom Grant as the team’s second rider alongside Dan Cooper who is currently lying fourth in the overall standings.

Toal (22) started the season in Superstock with Relentless Suzuki, but competed strongly as a Centurion guest rider in the Mallory Supersport race, finishing in a solid sixth.

Toal said: “I would really like to thank the whole of Centurion Racing for giving me this opportunity. I am really looking forward to getting out on the bike for the first time and can’t wait to get stuck in with everyone in the team and have some fun.”

His career highlights include fifth in the R6 Cup in 2006,  2007 R6 Cup Champion, and 15th in the British Supersport Championship last year.
