Lougher’s TT plans on track

Ian Lougher was testing at Cartagena with his own Black Horse Finance Kawasaki team.

He’s riding on the roads with a brace of Kawasakis this year but is fielding Conor Cummins in National Superstock and 16-year old Manxman Dave Pearce in Junior Superstock.

Lougher said: “This is just a shakedown on the superbike because we’re limited on tyres but the bike feels good. The engine is really fast, especially after riding the R1 last year that felt so lazy. The ZX-10 is a rocket.

“I only got one go on the superstock bike but it feels good. Conor’s been riding that and is going well.

“We had a few issues with the Maxton forks in Dave’s 600 but he looked good early on and is going to be one to watch.”

Lougher is off to Albacete next for the official Dunlop tyre test where he’ll get more track time to evaluate his superbike.
