Brands Hatch BSB: Ellison takes race two victory

1 of 1

Milwaukee Yamaha rider James Ellison bounced back from a disapponting race one to take victory in the second superbike race of the weekend.

Shane Byrne again took the lead from the start, but it wasn’t long before Ellison made his move to the front.

With two laps remaining Byrne attempted to pass Ellison on the entry to Surtees, but had to abort the move to avoid colliding with Ellison. Byrne ran off the track to rejoin in third place behind second place finisher Alex Lowes.

Lowes’ team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari improved on his race one form, finishing the race in fourth position ahead of Tyco Suzuki’s Josh Brookes.

Tommy Bridewell was forced to retire due to a mechanical problem.
