Pirelli National 1000 Superstock front runner Joe Burns will make the move up to the MCE British Superbike championship for 2015, teaming up with the newly formed In House Developments team.

Burns, who finished 2014 in eighth in the superstock series, has previous experience in the premiere class after an Assen wildcard appearance back in September. Misfortune prevented any real display of potential though, after the Newcastle rider clipped out of race one and retired form race two with electrical problems.

Burns, speaking after the deal was announced, said: “I can’t thank everyone involved at In House Developments enough for this great opportunity, I know the Kawasaki very well, and the team of guys around me is set to be extremely strong. The package will be by far the best I’ve been involved in to date, and testing can’t come soon enough.”

Russell Crowther, director of In House Developments, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Joe and the team in 2015. We have followed motorcycle racing around the world for many years, from BSB to MotoGP, so to finally have our own team on track is a tremendous feeling. We’re confident 2015 can be a great debut season and can’t wait to get out there!”
