Linfoot finds results as Honda conclude Monteblanco test

Dan Linfoot has left his first test as an official Honda MCE British Superbike rider pleased with the progress the team made, coming away from Spain’s Monteblanco circuit impressed with the performance of the Fireblade machine.

Completing over 100 laps on the final day of testing, the team spent the day working on chassis setup modifications that left him feeling comfortable on the package.

“It’s been a productive test, and although we lost some time on day three with the weather, we more than made up for it on the final day. It was a little bit cooler to begin with, but it soon warmed up and we did 104 laps which was an awesome way to end our first test. Our final day was our strongest of the test for both me and Jason [O’Halloran] and it’s even better to know that we have another four days here next month. “

“We tried the SC0 compound tyre at the very end too, and I was really impressed with it! I knew full well from last season that I liked using it, but Julien [Da Costa]’s feedback from their wildcards had been that it didn’t work well with the bike. I found loads of grip with it though, and was able to do a really consistent race simulation right at the end. The surface at Monteblacno is unusual, though, and it’ll be back in the UK before we really see.”
