New Honda BSB riders Dan Linfoot and Jason O’Halloran have made their debut on the factory-supported Honda Fireblades they will contest in the 2015 MCE British Superbike championship in a private test in Spain.

The duo have four days at the Monteblanco circuit near Seville to get used to their new machines and complete initial development work before they return to the UK. The team are then scheduled for another four days at the demanding 3.93-mile track.

New teammate Jenny Tinmouth is not present at the test, with her eleventh hour deal leaving the Louth-based team still preparing a machine for her. She will however return with the squad for the second test in March.

Linfoot said after the opening day on track: “Today has been absolutely mega and even better than Christmas! I couldn’t have wished for more from the first day on track and the bike is lovely to ride. It has been a case for me of getting on the bike and adjusting things to make me comfortable with the positioning, so the pegs, the bars and things like that. In that respect it has definitely been a case of job done today.

“It has been good to get the basics done and also for me to learn the characteristics of the Honda with the engine, chassis and brakes, but I couldn’t be happier and although we have lots still to do, it has been a fantastic start.”
