Insurance giant Bennetts will join the Halsall Suzuki squad for the 2015 MCE British Superbike season, with the GSX-R1000s of Christian Iddon and Josh Waters riding in their new colours for the first time this weekend at Donington Park.

Bennetts have been heavily involved in BSB in the past, culminating as title sponsors for a number of years. They were sold earlier this year by BGL Group, and are now owned by Saga.

Vince Chaney, Bennetts’ Managing Director, commented: “This is an exciting time for Bennetts and we are delighted to enter this partnership with the Halsall Suzuki team. The Bennetts name is synonymous with the British Superbike Championship and it was important that we came back to the series with a squad that shares our high standards and big ambitions.

“We’ve known Jack Valentine – Team Manager – for many years and he and Martin Halsall have put together a very good setup. They have ambitious plans for the team and this has been recognised by both us and Suzuki GB, who has appointed them as their official squad. We’re looking forward to a long and successful relationship, working together to turn Bennetts Suzuki into a title challenging team in the coming years.”

Team Owner Martin Halsall added: “We’re delighted to have Bennetts onboard as a title sponsor for the British Superbike Championship; they bring a wealth of experience with them having been involved in the series for the last decade. I see ourselves as an emerging force in British Superbikes with huge ambition to become an established and successful team , and this is recognised by everyone at Bennetts, who share the same ambition. This makes for the start of an exciting and rewarding partnership together and we can’t wait to get going.”
