TT winner Hutchinson to race Stock 1000s

Isle of Man TT superstar Ian Hutchinson will become a regular face in the MCE British Superbike paddock for 2016, as the new Tyco BMW rider steps up to the National Superstock 1000 class on the bike that departing rider Alastair Seeley finished runner-up in the championship on this year.

Looking to build up time on the bike not only in preparation for the TT but also as he continues to get back to where he left off on the short circuits before his horrific Silverstone 2010 crash, the Yorkshireman says the ride is the perfect opportunity for him.

“We secured the deal just over a month ago and now that my 2015 season is over, I’m really looking forward to getting going with Tyco BMW. After pretty much four years away from the sport I now need a bit of consistency.

“BMW is a huge brand and along with Philip Neill at TAS, they have shown how much they want to be involved with me for next season. That enthusiasm sold it to me and with direct support from BMW Motorrad it was hard to turn down.”
