The 2016 MCE British Superbike calendar has been announced, and brings a major rejigging to the season as the opening round moves from Donington Park to Silverstone.

Silverstone leaves the Showdown for the first time in it’s existence, swapping places with Donington Park as it goes from round one – a date imposed due to the provisional British GP fixture there – to late September.

The good news for fans is that Cadwell Park also returns to its traditional date on the August Bank Holiday weekend, joining Oulton Park in May as the season’s second Monday race.
