Mossey ‘had nothing to lose’

BSB rookie Luke Mossey had yet another impressive weekend at Assen, adding to his 2015 podium tally with a brave ride in tricky conditions in the second race of the weekend.

Admitting afterwards that he had ‘nothing to lose’ thanks to being ruled out of the title fight, he was able to hold off the best intentions of both Shane Byrne and Richard Cooper to take the final podium place.

“We have nothing to lose this year, it’s my first season in BSB, and so we took our chances. I did a few hairy moves where I should have probably closed my eyes at but in the end it was brilliant for us!

“It was a bit hairy to start with but to get back on the podium after the disappointment of a big crash in qualifying, its great for me and the team. Hopefully now we can keep this momentum going and stay strong for the final two rounds.”
