Stalker switches to sidecars for 2016!

World Superbike race winner and former MCE British Superbike championship runner-up Chris Walker will make the astonishing step next season from BSB to the British Sidecar championship, teaming up with the Santander Salt Kawasaki team to make his three-wheeled debut.

The BSB legend – who has no previous experience whatsoever of racing the three-wheeled outfits – will line up for the experienced squad as part of a two year deal.

“I’m a racer, and I’m not ready to go racing – but this way I can go racing with a clean sheet of paper – and you never know what’s going to happen next! It’s so hard to tell how it’s going to work out – there are more dissimilarities to a motorbike than there are similarities on a sidecar! But in saying that, I’m genuinely really excited about it, because I’m getting to go racing again!

“I’m mid-forties and doing something as exciting as when I first went road racing back in the early nineties – and I think that’s epic! It feels like I’m on the Launchpad going to the Moon – and the only film I’ve ever seen about going to the Moon is Apollo 13!”

For a full interview with Walker on his sidecar plans, see today Wednesday 13 January’s Motorcycle News.

See Stalker and a whole host of BSB stars at this years MCN Carole Nash London Motorcycle Show on Feb 12-14. Advance Tickets are just £17
