BSB: 'Feet on the ground' for Dixon ahead of Snetterton

1 of 1

Jake Dixon might have taken a stunning debut double victory last time out at Knockhill but he’s keen to keep his feet on the ground as the MCE British Superbike Championship resumes at Snetterton this weekend.

Dixon turned heads as he dominated the opening race in Scotland from lights to flag before following it up with a second victory in the second outing following a four-way dogfight with Luke Mossey and more experienced riders Shane Byrne and James Ellison.

However, while Dixon is now just 12 points off the top six ahead of the fifth round of the 2017 season getting underway, he’s keen to keep a level head as he looks to move himself into a Showdown spot.

“I’m trying not to think about the wins at Knockhill moving on,” he told MCN. “I’m going to approach every weekend like I already do and keep chipping away, seeing where we’re at and if we’ve got a good feeling with the bike then there’s no reason we can’t be fighting for wins.

“We went well at the Snetterton test two weeks ago, but you have to keep your feet on the ground. If you get too confident it can catch you out so we’ll keep our feet on the ground, work hard and go from there.”
