BSB: MV Agusta BSS team hit by thieves

Jack Kennedy’s MV Agusta British Supersport team has been left in a ‘delicate position’ moving forwards after their race truck was ransacked in its secure storage yard last week.

Thieves broke in to the compound where the MV Agusta squad keep their race transporter alongside a number of other trucks which also saw damage and thefts.

Fortunately, Kennedy’s MV Agusta F3 675 was elsewhere at the time, but the team has lost a large number of spare parts, tools and kit including two brand new factory engines, a number of sets of wheels and two MV Agusta Wolf custom made race suits.

The team has asked the industry to remain vigilant for sources offering MV Agusta race products for sale in coming weeks.

The police have been informed and are conducting their investigation, anyone with information should contact team boss Dave Tyson.

A list of what was stolen includes:

2 new factory engines

1 set of special 130 mm stroke Ohlins forks gold lower stations which we have from the factory and only ourselves

1 Ohlins rear shock

6 sets of gold wheels

2 front red wheels

2 new rear wheels

25 used race tyres

New discs

Brake pads

2 x MV Agusta Wolf suits specially made for Jack

Built up brake lines with dry brakes
