BSB: Walker back in superbike action with Anvil Hire TAG racing

Chris ‘The Stalker’ Walker is back in Bennetts British Superbike action today as he fills in for James Ellison in the Anvil Hire Racing squad at the official Oulton Park test.

With Ellison still in America with his family, Walker has stepped in for the Swadlincote-based team, for whom he’s working with this year as a mentor to Shaun Winfield.

Walker rode with the team for both of their Spanish tests at Jerez at Cartagena, sparking rumours of a wildcard return for the fans’ favourite at some point this year.

The 46-year-old has mentioned on a few occasions how he’d like to race BSB again before the end of his career given he didn’t know Assen 2015 would be his last time out in the top class following the collapse of the Be Wiser Kawasaki squad.

Walker spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons racing in the British Sidecar Championship before a nasty accident at Cadwell Park last year ruled him out of the remainder of the season.
