BSB: Ray returns to the top with Cadwell pole

1 of 1

Bradley Ray returned to form to storm to his third pole position of the year at Cadwell Park this afternoon.

The Buildbase Suzuki rider held off series leader Leon Haslam for the top spot by just 0.036 seconds, upsetting the order in a weekend with practice dominated by Kawasaki men Dixon and Haslam.

Dixon, who led the way with a time quicker than Ray’s pole on day one, completes the all-important front row for RAF Regular and Reserves Kawasaki.

Despite riding injured after his free practice crash, Glenn Irwin will line up fourth for Be Wiser Ducati ahead of an impressive showing for Tommy Bridewell on the MotoRapido Ducati.

Danny Buchan completes the top six after a disappointing qualifying saw him lap slower than he has already this weekend after running wide at the mountain on his quickest lap.

Showing signs of improvement for the Tyco BMW squad, Christian Iddon will start the opening race seventh ahead of the Smiths BMW of Peter Hickman while winner last time out Josh Brookes will start ninth after a challenging session saw him have to fight hard to make it through to the third and final stage.

Luke Mossey narrowly missed out on a spot in Q3 and starts race one tenth ahead of Tarran Mackenzie and Jason O’Halloran.
