BSB: Wrist injury sidelines Linfoot

1 of 1

Dan Linfoot will miss the second Bennetts British Superbike race at Brands Hatch after his race one crash.

The Honda Racing rider sustained a suspected fractured scaphoid when he highsided out of today’s opening race while fighting through from a lowly grid position.

Medics were unable to confirm the fracture due to swelling, but the Yorkshireman will undergo further scans later in the week to establish the damage.

Should the fracture be confirmed, he’s likely to be out for a lengthy period of time. He’ll also be ruled out of the upcoming Suzuka Eight Hour where he’s scheduled to be riding for the Moriwaki team.

It will be the second time this year Linfoot has been sidelined through injury after breaking a bone in his neck at the Brands Indy round back in April.
