Tommy Bridewell and the Movuno.com Halsall Racing team have parted ways during the fourth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton.

The Devizes rider has had a tough season with the Bolton-based outfit so far having achieved a best result of eighth place at Brands Indy and Oulton Park.

Bridewell was 18th quickest on Friday at Snetterton before sitting out this morning’s third free practice session with technical issues.

A statement from the team just half an hour before qualifying was set to begin read: “The Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki squad can today confirm it has terminated its contract with rider Tommy Bridewell.

“The decision follows several weeks of discussions between team and rider, and following a few recent disagreements, the team feels the only way forward is to part company.

“Halsall Racing and Tommy Bridewell have a long relationship dating back to 2013 and we have experienced some of our finest results with him on our machines.

“However, under the current situation we feel that we have no option but to go our separate ways. We wish Tommy the very best luck for the future.”
