BSB: Haslam looking for first Snetterton win

Leon Haslam heads in to the fourth round of the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike championship at Snetterton with his eyes on securing his first win at the Norfolk circuit.

The JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider leads the championship standings by 14 points over Buildbase Suzuki’s Bradley Ray and heads into Snetterton in a stronger position than he has in the last two years.

Having completed most of last month’s official test before an engine problem ruled him out of the final session and saw him left fourth quickest on the timesheets, Haslam is confident of at least standing on the podium at one of just two BSB circuits he’s yet to win at.

“I’m really looking forward to Snetterton,” Haslam said. “It’s one of two circuits I’ve not won at and the only circuit I’ve not got on the podium with the Kawasaki, so I’m really keen to change that.

“As a course with long straights it suits some of our rivals a little better, but I’m feeling confident this year. It’s the first time we’ve taken part in the official test before the meeting and we’re going into it injury free this time after being injured last year… I’m keen to win races!”
