BSB: Mackenzie 'loved every second' of Ducati debut

Taylor Mackenzie enjoyed a positive debut with the MotoRapido Ducati team at Cartagena last week, completing a gruelling five days on track aboard his new Panigale R.

After a tough season with Bennetts Suzuki last year, the 2016 National Superstock 1000 champion is determined to make his mark in the superbike class this time around.

Completing a monstrous number of laps over the test, Mackenzie was thrilled with his first spin on the Ducati, despite having younger brother Tarran snapping at his heels.

“I’ve loved every second of it! It’s my first go on the Ducati BSB bike with the guys and I can’t stop smiling!” Mackenzie said. “It’s been a long time since I’ve ridden in anger and it’s been a mega test so far, I can’t get enough of it!

“I’m really pleased with how things have gone, it’s a real nice bike to ride, easier to ride than I thought it would be, and it seems to suit my style quite well. We’ve still got quite a bit of work to do but I’m happy with the times we have been posting and where we are at.”
