BSB: Elliott to join Mossey at OMG Racing for 2019

Josh Elliott will replace the outgoing Gino Rea in the OMG Racing Suzuki team alongside Luke Mossey for the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship.

Rea had initially signed to remain with the team for the upcoming season, but just last week split with the team over a ‘conflict of interest’.

Elliott joined the OMG Racing team mid-way through the 2018 season in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class, quickly adapting and securing OMG’s first ever win at Thruxton.

He would later step up to a second superbike for the final two rounds of the season, where he showed promise, knocking on the door of the top ten.

“I’m so happy to be riding for OMG Racing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship next season,” Elliott said. “This is something I’ve been working hard for and I’m very grateful to the owners and our Team Principal, Paul Curran, for giving me the opportunity.

“It’s going to be ultra competitive next year in BSB and I’m really looking forward to the challenge! I can’t wait to get back out on the OMG Racing Suzuki in Cartagena this week and the preparations are already underway to build on what we learned last season.”

Elliott and team-mate Mossey will be testing at Cartagena in Spain this week.
