Rossi dominates Portuguese GP

Valentino Rossi dominated the MotoGP race at Estoril today, extending his lead in the championship.

Rossi was able to pull clear from early challenger Max Biaggi and left championship rival Sete Gibernau to battle for third with Ducati rider Loris Capirossi. It was Capirossi who eventually grabbed the third place on the podium.

Fourth was Tohru Ukawa, with Troy Bayliss sixth. Meanwhile things were not so good for the Aprilia team, with Colin Edwards in 14th and team-mate Noriyuki Haga in fifteenth. Brit Jeremy McWilliams eventually finished in 19th place, while Chris Burns did not make the race.
