Is Rossi the greatest?

Valentino Rossi has put pay to any doubts about the sanity of his move to Yamaha by winning the first race of the season in fantastic style, but is he really the best of all time?

Just moments after winning, Rossi sat down to give an exclusive interview with MCN, saying: “I think that was the best race of my career. I can’t believe I won. A race like that was a miracle.” Read the full interview in MCN, out Wednesday, April 21.

Even Rossi himself doubted he would win any races until the middle of the season but in just three months he developed the YZR-M1 in to a race-winning bike.

We want to know what you think. Is Rossi the best racer of all time? Does he compare to Agostini, Rainey or Sheene? Rossi is now in the top five all time podium finishers but he is the only rider in GP history to win back-to-back races in the premier class riding machines from two different manufacturers.
