Bids rocket for GP ride

1 of 1

The bidding for the chance to ride on a Ducati MotoGP bike is starting to accelerate with just three days left to the end of the auction.

The highest bid so far received is just over 1900 Euros.

The winner gets to go on the back with Randy Mamola on his two-seat Ducati V4 MotoGP bike.

MCN has teamed up with Riders for Health to offer two generous readers the chance to bid their way on to the ‘passenger’ version of the fastest bike in racing history – the 216mph, 250bhp Desmosedici – and you’ll be saving lives if your bid is successful.

GP legend Mamola will be taking VIP guests on a very hot scenic lap of MCN Donington Park on the Day of Champions fund-raiser event on Thursday 22nd July, the day before the British GP kicks off. We got a chance to take the pillion trip of a lifetime last year, and let us assure you a ride just a few seconds off full MotoGP pace is one of the life’s landmark moments – including 160mph wheelies!

Winning bids, which go direct to Riders for Health, are predicted to be over £1750. If you reckon you are up to it and want to place your offer, ring Emma Kent at Riders for Health on 01327-300047. Only winning bids will be expected to make a donation, and the winners will also get VIP tickets to the event. You need to be at Donington by 10am on the day, and weight under 90kg.
