Rossi to test F1 Toyota

After years of speculation about Valentino Rossi switching to F1 car racing, it seems he may finally get his first ride in one of the 900bhp cars, and MCN has got an exclusive interview.

The motorcycle world champion has been linked with the Ferrari and BAR F1 teams in the past but he has never actually got to the driving seat.

But during his visit to the Australian GP in Melbourne last weekend and after visiting Michael Shumacher in the Ferrari garage Rossi went on to meet with Toyota team bosses and agree a deal that will see him test the Toyota TF104 in the next few weeks.

The deal has been made possible by Rossi’s recent switch to ride for Yamaha in MotoGP, as Yamaha has close corporate and development ties with Toyota.
