Rossi goes retro

Valentino Rossi will be racing in the traditional red, yellow and white Yamaha racing colours at this weekend’s Valencia GP.

The Yamaha team has decided to go with the retro colours for the final round of the 2005 championship, it’s last chance to celebrate the firm’s 50th birthday.

The design will feature on the works Yamaha bikes of Rossi and Colin Edwards and is based on the paint scheme on Giacomo Agostini’s 1975 championship winning OW23 YZR500.
