Donington Park officially opened its new pit and paddock area on Friday with Jodie Marsh cutting the ribbon.

The new development cost over £5million – when last year’s track resurfacing is added in.

The circuit now boasts 38 garages – 12 more than before – as well as improved media facilities – vital for a MotoGP venue. Race organisers and commentators have more space and better tech spec, too.

Jodie Marsh was taken for a pillion ride on the back of Ron Haslam after the opening ceremony and you can see what she thought below.

The development also includes new conference centres to allow the circuit to develop its corporate hospitality business.
