Rain hits Brno test
Rain hit the second day of MotoGP testing at Brno on Tuesday, August 22, with Loris Capirossi testing the Desmosedici GP7 under wet conditions for the first time.
With rain from 10am till midday, Kenny Roberts Jr, Nicky Hayden, Chris Vermeulen and James Ellison were among the riders who braved the weather, as many riders had already left after the first day, including Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri.
More rain in the afternoon prevented Valentino Rossi making a second appearance on the 800cc Yamaha, as team-mate Colin Edwards continued to focus on the current M1 MotoGP bike. Despite the distraction of the new 800cc machine, Rossi was able to post the fastest time on both days of testing on the current M1.
