Pedrosa wins British GP

Dani Pedrosa overcame strong challenges from Marco Melandri, Casey Stoner and Kenny Roberts, and his own mistake at the Melbourne Loop to win the 2006 British GP on July 2, 2006.

The Spanish Repsol rider ran wide attempting to challenge Melandri for the lead, but was able to stay on the track and recover to work his way back from third place to take victory. Valentino Rossi fought his way through the pack to take second, with Marco Melandri third. James Ellison finished in 14th. For full results, Click here.

The 250cc race was won by Jorge Lorenzo, from Alex de Angelis and Hiroshi Aoyama. Sadly British riders Dan Linfoot, Chaz Davies and Luke Lawrence all failed to finish. For full results, click here.

In 125s, Alvaron Bautista took the win with Mika Kallio taking second at the final corner of the last lap from Mattia Pasini. Bradley smith took his first ever points in 12th place at his home round.
