Michel Fabrizio may not be setting the world alight in World Superbikes this year, but the Italian star has been handed a dream chance to impress the men that matter after he was signed to ride Toni Elias’ vacant Honda RC211V for the British GP at Donington Park this weekend.

Elias, who rides for Fortuna Honda, broke his shoulder in practice for the Assen GP last week, and though Alex Barros was linked with the ride, he is still in Fortuna’s bad books after he was taken to court by parent company Altadis for breech of contract two years ago.
Fabrizio rides for the DFXtreme Honda WSB team, and is currently 16th in the title standing. He last rode int he MotoGP series for the WCM team.
