Two new faces will be riding at the Mugello GP, with practice beginning on Friday, June 2, 2006.

Franz Aschenbrenner will be riding for the Kiefer BOS team as a replacement for the injured Dirk Hiedolf. Aschenbrenner competes in the Italian and European championships, and the 20-year-old will compete in the next four rounds of the championship. Four weeks ago he finished third at Mugello in an Italian Championship race.

Fabricio Perren will also make his debut on Friday. The 17-year-old will ride for the Stop & Go team, and will replace Jordi carchano for the rest of the season. Aged 14 he had claimed all available Argentinean titles before moving to Spain, twice earning podiums in the Spanish 125cc championship.
