Guintoli's crocked debut

1 of 1

French MotoGP new boy Sylvain Guintoli had a painful graduation from 250s to the big bikes, after he broke his collar bone in his first ride on a MotoGP bike.

Guintoli, riding for Tech-3 Yamaha as replacement for James Ellison, highsided in a private test at the Paul Ricard circuit in southern France.

He will now be out of racing until January, missing the next MotoGP test at Jerez later this month.

He was riding a 900cc M1. New team-mate Makoto Tamada is in Sepang with the main part of the Tech-3 team.
