The wave of rider movements continues with MotoGP’s Tech 3 Team the latest to confirm their line up for 2007.

Current test rider and 250cc competitor Sylvian Guintoli will join up with Makoto Tamada next year for the main event and fulfil a life-long ambition.

The French rider said: “It’s a dream come true for me to finally step up to the MotoGP class. Herve (Team Principal Herve Poncharal) and I have known each other for years and to be given the chance to ride with a Yamaha factory team is a fantastic opportunity for me.”

This announcement means Britain’s James Ellison appears to have no ride for 2007 as yet as Guintoli’s signing completes the Tech 3 Team line up.

The team will continue their links with Dunlop for the season as they adjust to life with 800cc machines.

Poncharal added: “I am very happy to announce that Sylvain Guintoli will be our second rider alongside Makoto Tamada. The Tech 3 Team will be the only team to run Dunlop tyres and we are delighted that we will have such a talented line up to continue the great work that we’ve done in 2006.”
