800cc GP test

Many of the stars of MotoGP stayed at the Motegi circuit following the Japanese GP on Sunday, September 24, 2006, with Ducati and Honda using their new 800cc machines for 2007.

Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden tested for Honda, with the 800cc bike. Suzuki fielded their test riders, while Camel Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi and Colin edwards were also testing.

Sete Gibernau had his first test on the 800cc GP7 Ducati posting a best time of 1:47.44 over the course of 43 laps. Team-mate Loris Capirossi also did a number of laps, focussing on testing braking components, with a best time of 1:47.91.
