Walking wounded Jeremy McWilliams has returned to action in Qatar this morning (Thursday, February 15, 2007) after he missed day two of the Doha session.

The 42-year-old British rider completed 18 tentative laps on the new Ilmor 800 to clock a best time of 2.04.183, which is three seconds faster than he managed on the opening day at the Losail International Circuit.

McWilliams sat out yesterday having aggravated the serious left leg injury he suffered in Jerez at the end of November.

Factory Kawasaki rider Olivier Jacque also returned this morning after his massive crash on the opening afternoon kept him sidelined yesterday.

The former world 250 champion missed yesterday after suffering concussion and he was only able to muster 12 laps in the four hours of track time available before the 1pm lunch interval.

He set a best time of 2.02.081.
