Crackin’ Catalunya

This year was our second trip to the Catalunya GP – could it better than last year? Course it could! The Spanish really know how to put an event together and it felt right to congratulate them through MCN. From the ease of booking the tickets online to the military precision of crowd control when leaving the venue on race day the organisers had everything planned to perfection.

The stands offer amazing views whilst numerous TV screens allow you to see everything that’s happening just about anywhere on the track, the food was excellent and reasonably priced and the beer chilled to perfection but a little harder on the wallet.

Walking around the circuit there was a great sense of British pride to come across like-minded folks who’d also donned “GO BRAD” T-shirts in support of our rising young talent; it’s great to see him up with the top riders. That maiden victory can’t be too far away now – go for it Brad!

The brilliant atmosphere was only improved further by Pasini’s Basil Fawlty impression and an action-packed, nail-biting GP race. A great venue, fantastic atmosphere and beautiful weather – what more could you want? Donington can’t quite match it but at least it’s closer to home!
