Sachsenring MotoGP: Talmacsi claims pole position for the 125cc GP

Following on from his success in yesterday’s free practise session, reigning world champion Gabor Talmacsi topped the timesheets in today’s 125 qualifying session, giving him pole position on the grid for tomorrow’s GP.

Despite continous improvement throughout the session, British rider Bradley Smith was unable to match the pace of Talmacsi and settled for second place, with a time just one tenth of a second slower than the time set by the champion Bancaja Aspar Team rider.

Blusens Aprilia Junior rider Scott Redding will start 16th on the grid, with a fastest time some 1.3 seconds slower than Gabor Talmacsi’s.
