Valentino Rossi eager to ride at Silverstone

Valentino Rossi has told MCN that he is looking forward to trying the high-speed Silverstone circuit when its hosts the British MotoGP in 2010.
Despite being a huge fan of Donington Park, the reigning world champion is looking forward to going for glory at Silverstone, which will host the British MotoGP race for at least the next five years.
Silverstone, which last staged a premier class race back in 1986, is expected to be the fastest on the MotoGP calendar.
Silverstone unveiled more of its plans for the 2010 race earlier this week, with £50,000 worth of tickets already sold.
The Italian told MCN: “I heard it will be very fast, so this is very good. I like Donington a lot, so I hope that Silverstone is at the same level. Donington is one of my favourite tracks, but we have to wait and see what Silverstone can do. I’ve never seen Silverstone. Last year I had the chance to drive an Aston Martin DB9 there but it was cancelled. But have seen the plans in and although it is hard to make a judgement from drawings, for me it looked really good. At least Silverstone is an old track like Donington and Assen. It is not a computer track and this is positive.”
