Caffe Latte abandons MotoGP plan

Thomas Luthi’s hopes of a shock MotoGP move are over after his Caffe Latte Aprilia 250GP squad abandoned plans to switch to the premier class in 2010.

The Swiss outfit had confirmed its intention to move to MotoGP earlier this season by leasing a Honda RC212V machine.

But a series of disappointing performances from Luthi in 2009 has seen Caffe Latte bosses reconsider its options.

Team boss Daniel Epp confirmed he’s ditched the MotoGP project by saying: “I am a businessman but I am also a sportsman, and I do not want to start any race if I do not see the will to win.”
