Casey Stoner wants to stay at Ducati

Casey Stoner has given Ducati a massive boost ahead of the 2010 MotoGP world championship by stating he has no intention of quitting the Bologna factory when his current contract expires.

The Australian’s future has already been the subject of intense speculation, with Honda reportedly already in contact with the 24-year-old over a move to the Japanese factory in 2011.

But Stoner, who is bidding to win back the MotoGP crown he won in crushing fashion in 2007 this year, insists he is happy to remain at Ducati when his current deal runs out at the end of 2010.

“My contract is up this year and I’m sure in the second half of the season things will start to change once we see what is going on.

“But at this point I have absolutely no inkling of leaving where I am now. Ducati have been very good to me.

“They picked me up when everyone thought I was a crasher and took me to the world championship, “said Stoner.
