Spanish rider Hector Barbera has admitted that his debut campaign in MotoGP in 2010 will be a tough one after the Aspar Ducati squad was officially launched in Spain this week.

Last year’s 250GP runner-up, who was second choice for the Aspar ride behind new Suzuki recruit Alvaro Bautista, said: “Making my debut in MotoGP is a dream and soon it will be a reality. This season is going to be tough because the level in this class is very high but I am going to be working hard to finish as high as possible.

“Everything I have right now is in part thanks to Jorge, who has put together a winning team and has put his faith in me. I can assure them I will do all I can to repay their faith with results.”

Barbera will make his debut under the Losail International Circuit floodlights in Qatar on April 11.
