Meeting Marco in 2007

I met Marco in 2007 during his 250GP days. The pits were empty and whilst patrolling up and down I saw his lovely barnet! I made a bee line for him.

He was so gracious and sweet. I asked if it was ok to have a photo and for him to sign my Day of Champions programme. He replied in his lovely broken English “yes”. I will never forget him and how lovely he was.

I cannot begin to tell you how the loss of Marco has affected me this week. Forever young #58.
