Indianapolis Moto3: Rins takes another pole

1 of 1

Alex Rins put his KTM on the front row of the grid for tomorrow’s Indianapolis Moto3 race, taking his fourth pole of the season as he bested his fellow KTMs.

His teammate Alex Marquez was second, ahead of Maverick Vinales in third to create a Spainiard/KTM lockout of the front row of the grid.

Australia dominated row two, with Efren Vazquez just managing to put his Mahindra ahead of of Jack Miller and Arthur Sissis.

Championship leader Luis Salom crashed heavily at turn one, highsiding and landing hard enough on his hip and back side to shred his leathers. Both him and machine managed to make it back to the pits and rejoin the session, but he was unable to improve on his earlier time to finish the session back in 10th.

John McPhee, the only Brit remaining in the Moto3 class, was back in 30th place on his FTR Honda.
