Silverstone 200: Ellison romps to race two victory

1 of 1

Milwaukee Yamaha rider James Ellison made his second win in the Silverstone 200 look as easy as the first, taking the lead at the start and stretching it to over thirteen seconds at the chequered flag to win from Dan Linfoot and teammate Josh Waters.

Linfoot was second for the entire race, although he cam under pressure from both his teammate Peter Hickman and Waters until Hickman was forced to retire. Ellison, while able to stick with Linfoot, was unable to make a move, finishing third by 0.6 seconds.

The battle for fourth was won by Northern Irishman Marshall Neill, almost thirty seconds adrift on the podium. Neill had a race-long fight with Aaron Zanotti on the STEL Suzuki, fellow Northern Irishman Josh Elliot, and National Superstock front runner Hudson Kennaugh in seventh.

Joe Burns was eighth, Dominic Usher was ninth, and yDanny Johnson rounded out the top ten.

Two of yesterday’s podium finishers failed to make the podium, with both Graeme Gowland and and Dave Johnson failing to make it to the end, with Gowalnd crashing out his Appleyard Macadam Yamaha and Johnson retiring his superstock Kawasaki to the pits.
