Baker takes Superprestigio victory as Marquez crashes out

AMA flat track champion Brad ‘the Bullet’ Baker emerged victorious on Sunday night from the resurrected Superprestigio race in Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi, after MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez crashed out while battling the American.

Baker, who won the Open class against Europe’s best flat trackers with ease, came up against Marquez in the final of the Superprestigio class, consisting of current and former GP and WSB riders.

Marquez and baker were able to pull away from the field in the final, embarking upon an epic battle until a slight contact between the pair saw Marquez hit the dirt.

Baker won easily from Moto2 racer Tito Rabat, with Kenny Noyes coming in third and Marquez finishing back in 8th.
