Marquez fastest, Dovi forced into QP1

Andrea Dovizioso will be the shock inclusion in the opening qualifying session with the Ducati rider failing to make it into the top ten spots after FP3. Dovizioso failed by over a tenth of a second after a thrilling conclusion to the session.

Both Suzuki’s made it through to QP2 again with Aleix Espargaro seventh fastest and Maverick Vinales tenth. Valentino Rossi made it through after sitting on the bubble for the majority of the session.

Marc Marquez was fastest with Bradley Smith an impressive second fastest after using his medium compound tyres well. Cal Crutchlow will join his fellow Brit in the shootout for pole after posting the sixth fastest time.

Scott Redding however will once again have to take part in the opening salvo after posting the 13th fastest time with Eugene Laverty 17th quickest.
